Follow the care instructions and do not remove care labels.
Hang garments immediately after wearing, so the wrinkles fall out.
Dry clean any shirt made with more than 60% polyester or rayon. They tend to discolor when the dyes used by the manufacturers mix with your body oil.
Check clothes carefully after each wearing for stains, rips and tears. Empty pockets to prevent sagging and tears.
Mend all rips and tears before cleaning the garment.
Have your clothes cleaned properly before storing them to prevent moth damage, mildew and stains from setting.
Use warm or cold water instead of hot water when washing clothes. It saves money, and is often better for the clothes.
Re-wash the entire load when colors bleed. Use regular detergent and color-safe bleach, and then dry the clothes either in the dryer or on the line.
Avoid hanging wet or damp garments in the closet in order to prevent mildew.
