Lauri Buchanan, Manager, Milton, Mass.

Lauri Buchanan has been a part of the Dependable family for over 19 years. Lauri started in high school as a part time customer service representative at the original store in Quincy. Today, as manager of our Milton store, Lauri says the main reason she has stayed with the company for so long is because of the relationships she has built, both with the employees as well as with the customers.

"Being with a company for so long, you really build strong relationships with the people you see on a regular basis, and that includes the customers," Lauri said. "That has really been my favorite part of the job."

Lauri says that being a manager can be a challenging job, but dealing with daily challenges has helped her grow both personally as well as in her position.

Another personal challenge that has helped Lauri grow, is the recent addition of her newest family member: her six-month-old son, Ryan. However, despite being a Dependable manager and a busy parent, Lauri said she and her husband, Daniel, still find time to do the things they enjoy doing together, including bowling, playing pool, skiing and camping.
