Beatriz Desiquiera, Manager, Watertown, Mass.

Beatriz Desiquiera was hired as the manager of Dependable Cleaners’ Watertown store more than 5 years ago, and remains in this position today. She defines the Watertown store environment as a family “My co-workers and customers are not only my friends, they are like family,” she states. “That’s one of the main reasons why I enjoy working at Dependable.”

Another reason that Beatriz cites as a factor in her job satisfaction is the Dependable Cleaners corporate training and support. She was trained in all aspects of the dry cleaning industry, from pressing garments to customer service.

“Dependable offered classes that helped me improve my management and operational skills, which resulted in improvements in both store sales and service,” Beatriz explains. “In fact, being a Dependable Cleaners manager has taught me a lot about both work and life, including how to be a better manager and a better person. It’s also taught me how to delegate work and trust others.”

Prior to joining Dependable’s team, Beatriz was a manager at Johnny Rockets Restaurant. It was here that a good friend, who worked at Dependable Cleaners, introduced Beatriz and Dependable to each other. It was an instant match - Beatriz was immediately hired for the manager position at the Watertown store.

Beatriz, who attended college in Brazil, loves to travel to Florida during her vacations. In her spare time, she enjoys playing volleyball and spending quality time in her Marlborough home with her three daughters: Isabela and the twins, Rafaela and Gabriela.
